  • You have to access the UITextField inside the UISearchBar. You can do that by using valueForKey("searchField")

    var textFieldInsideSearchBar = yourSearchbar.valueForKey("searchField") as? UITextField

textFieldInsideSearchBar?.textColor = yourcolor
