ASP.NET MVC: generating action link with custom html in it

How can I generate action link with custom html inside.
Like following:
<a href="http://blah-blah/.....">
<span class="icon"/> New customer
</a>

You can use the UrlHelper class :

<a href="<% =Url.Action("Create","Customers") %>">
    <span class="icon"/> New customer
</a>
