Why do fonts appear jagged in Chrome?

My fonts seem to appear really jagged and and hard to read in chrome, how can I make them appear smooth? They didn't used to be like this.

Solution

  • In Windows 10:

    1. Go to System Properties: WIN KEY + R, run: sysdm.cpl

      • (OR go to the Windows Search, search for "This PC", right-click and choose Properties)

    2. Adjust this Performance setting:

      • Go to Advanced system settings tab
      • Click the Settings button in the Performance group
      • Check the box for Smooth edges of screen fonts
      • Relaunch Chrome (Optional: restart computer)

    And your fonts will be back to normal.
