i tried many time to fix this problem by changing some dependencies to make it work
such as 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:28.0.0-alpha3' :
by other version but still always not showing the previous .
i also tried to clean and rebuild the project .

I had the same problem and to resolve it you need to temporally downgrade
compileSdkVersion 28 -> 27
targetSdkVersion 28 -> 27
implementation 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:28.0.0-alpha3' --> 27.1.1
implementation 'com.android.support:design:28.0.0-alpha3' --> 27.1.1
implementation 'com.android.support:cardview-v7:28.0.0-alpha3' --> 27.1.1
I think there is a problem on those library when Android Studio have to render XML layout.
Alternatively, Google released yesterday Android Studio 3.2.0 Upgrade your IDE, change support libraries with 28.0.0 and everything will work
