How do I view size of a Bitbucket repo before cloning it?

I want to know the total file size of a certain repo on Bitbucket.

This thread is relevant but this is only for Github: How can I see the size of a GitHub repository before cloning it?

Is there a similar way of knowing the size on Bitbucket?

  • It's easiest to get this info from the admin panel. However, if you are not an admin, and you're using Bitbucket Cloud, then you can still query the API for it: https://developer.atlassian.com/bitbucket/api/2/reference/resource/repositories/%7Busername%7D/%7Brepo_slug%7D
