How to facet a plot_ly() chart?

Using ggplot2 and plotly to make an interactive scatter plot with facet_wrap().

  geom_point()+
  facet_wrap(vars(Species))
ggplotly(g)

Is it possible to "facet" using the plot_ly() function? The documentation suggests subplot()...
