Missing WEB-INF folder in Maven Java Project

Blockquote

I have created a simple project(skip archetype selection) in Maven.

Maven created src/main/java, src/main/resources, src/test/java and src/test/resources folders.

Maven did not create WEB-INF folder inside the webapps. I have also added maven-war-plugin.

How to get WEB-INF folder inside webapps? and then how to get WEB-INF/web.xml file?

This is my pom.xml file:

Solution

  • Answer to this question is:: Springboot MVC is designed mostly in a programmatic approach, and this WEB-INF folder deals with web.xml files and related stuff, that's the main reason there is no predefined folder structure with WEB-INF
