How to disable contextual tab menu in officejs

I want to disable the menu of the ribbon. I tried the below code but it's showing an error that RichApi.Error: ControlIdNotFound. I'm executing the code on button click. Is my hierarchy structure wrong for updating the ribbon? I had tried the below code.
