I am trying to follow a tutorial found here, setting up Postfix and dovecot as well as opendkim with SSL on an Ubuntu 22 server.
I am able to get the server to register that the email is being sent, connecting over port 25 with dovecot, but I am unable to send mail due to an error (below):

I have opened the port and allowed the port in my firewall settings with sudo ufw allow 587/tcp
as well as the necessary ufw config for postfix.

Telnet fails, with command telnet mamasheen.com 587
as well as netstat with netstat -na | grep LISTEN | grep 587
. sudo postfix check
runs with no comment.
And I configured the domain correctly, with all the right records. I've done this before.
What am I missing here? I followed the tutorial pretty carefully and this is as far as I can get.
Port 587 is the submission
protocol in master.cf
. You have that disabled. Just remove the comment marker.
