[SOLVED] MS Entity Framework Core 8.0 keeps throwing "System.Globalization.CultureNotFoundException"

MS Entity Framework Core 8.0 keeps throwing "System.Globalization.CultureNotFoundException"

I've just installed Visual Studio 2022 Community on Paralles (ARM) and cannot find a way to use the Entity Framework Core as I keep receiving errors about "Invariant culture".

"System.Globalization.CultureNotFoundException: Only the invariant culture is supported in globalization-invariant mode."

I'm in .Net 8.0. Every Nuget Package for Entity Framework Core is also 8.0.

I've follow a number of tutorials but every command line step fails with the same error. I also tried creating the model and dbcontext by hand and set up a test to create a new record with context.SaveChanges() but all paths end with the same error.

Solution

In .NET 8 API Project templates default the InvariantCulture property in the proj file to true. If you are getting this error you should set the property value to false:
