Error creating bean with name 'entityManagerFactory' with SpringBoot 3

I am a beginner in Spring Boot and trying to make an API REST app with Spring boot 3 and Java version 17 with PostgreSQL.

I faced an error on my macos when i adding an JDA dependency.

Recently a made a similar project and it was running without any problem, and now both of then do not run(they are independently.)

I saw a lot of forums with the same error but it did not help me.

The Error is:

Error starting ApplicationContext. To display the condition evaluation report re-run your application with 'debug' enabled. 2024-02-18T19:15:14.015+01:00 ERROR 6786 --- [ main] o.s.boot.SpringApplication : Application run failed

I read something about different version compatibility but i did not found my case. Please, can you help me to resolve my case.

I tried to add more dependency like hibernate, change versions, add h2database and dependencies for postgres, update the Maven project and of course reload the computer.

Solution

  • Typical SRPING<->JPA<->HIBERNATE version mismatch

    Remove hibernate and related stuff from the POM. pring-boot-starter-data-jpa will pull required and COMPATIBLE version for you.
