Power BI report of excel data source
Is it possible to create a Power-bi report of data stored in excel spreadsheet (in Azure data lake) without converting the excel file to CSV file explicitely?
We do not want to create another version of excel data and save it as CSV file. We would like to directly run the report using the excel data.
Solution
Firstly, I tried it using ADLS Gen 2 connector in Power BI but not able to get the excel file in it, so I have tried workaround as below:
- In your Power BI go to Get Data and under that go to Web:
- After this add URL of your Excel file stored in ADLS gen 2 which you will get as below:
- You will get below pop up then add your account key to authenticate.
You will see the excel file as below:
