Power BI copy "parent" row data into "child" rows

I want to replace the null values in my table with data from the "parent" record. Please see the example image from the Power BI Power Query editor.

Example of expectation

I've tried creating duplicates of the tables then merging, grouping and appending with no success, this is very frustrating.

Solution

  • Once it is sorted in the correct order, you can use Fill Down.
