How do I export the results of a Data Source in Bold BI?

I am using Bold BI and need to export the results of a Data Source query as a CSV or Excel file. I can see a preview of the data when I run the query, but there's no way to save it. There's an option to view the underlying data of individual Widgets in a dashboard, but that doesn't give me the full dataset.

  • If you have "Allow Exporting" and "Allow Column Selection" enabled, you can go to a widget using the Data Source and add every column you want to export.

    1. Create a Dashboard linked to the Data Source you want to export.

    2. Add a Grid Widget to the dashboard. (Or use any existing Widget that allows assigning data)

    3. Click the Gear icon on the widget to open the configuration sidebar.

    4. In the "Assign Data" tab, ensure at least one field from the Data Source you want to export is being used by the widget.

    5. In the "Properties" tab, scroll down to "View Underlying Data" and make sure to check "Enable", "Allow Exporting", and "Allow Column Selection".

    6. Click the Preview button to preview the dashboard.

    7. Go to the Widget you created, click the 3 dots, and select "View Underlying Data"

    8. In the top right, click "Select Column", click "Select All" to select every column and press "Apply"

    9. Click the export icon in the top right and click export.
